Jose is responsible for all aspects of Technical and Quality Management. With over 25 years of experience in the concrete industry across both technical and operational roles, and over 9 years as part of Brett, he brings a broad strategic perspective that supports Brett’s goals for quality, innovation, and customer satisfaction.

His role covers everything from compliance and testing to managing suppliers and driving new product development — ensuring Brett consistently delivers high-quality products at fair prices.

Outside of work, he’s a self-confessed petrol head with a love for cars, motorbikes, and jet skis. That need for speed balances out a busy home life raising identical quadruplet daughters. His motto: live for the moment and grab life with both hands. One journey so make the most of it!

Rachel Challinor is National Account Manager at Brett Landscaping and has been with the business since August 2024. She is responsible for managing and maintaining contracts with national merchants in the landscaping division, as well as negotiating new deals to support long-term partnerships.

With five years of industry experience, Rachel brings a strong understanding of manufactured landscape products, a sharp eye for detail, and a passion for delivering excellent customer service. Her sales-driven mindset and relationship-focused approach make her a valuable asset to both clients and the Brett team.

Outside of work, Rachel enjoys training at the gym and plays netball twice a week. Fun fact: she has a surprising phobia of birds!

Asya Jackson has been with Brett Landscaping for around two and a half years. She supports the day-to-day running of the Cliffe site by managing production administration tasks such as health and safety statistics, maintaining contractor and employee records, and ensuring key information is up to date and accessible.

Outside of work, she’s passionate about wildlife and helped create a garden area at Cliffe to encourage biodiversity, which is now thriving. Before joining Brett, she lived in Japan for two years and still enjoys reading manga comics during her lunch breaks. She’s always happy to practice Japanese with anyone interested!

Jamie Gledhill has been Technical Engineering Manager at Brett Landscaping for five years, building on a 15-year career at the company that has included the roles of National Specification Sales Manager and Regional Sales Engineer.

As a member of the MPA Precast Technical committee and the B/507-7533 British Standards Committee Jamie advises on key elements of the industry including British Standards for the design and installation of concrete paving, concrete block permeable paving and Trief containment kerbs.

Jamie has worked with Local Authorities to design product solutions such as bio retention inlet kerbs and verge protection units that meet the specific requirements of local councils. Outside of work, Jamie enjoys walking the West Yorkshire Moons and Lake District with his wife and spaniel along with supporting the Leeds Rhinos.

Dean Beresford brings over 40 years of experience across textiles, plastics, steel construction, and now concrete. He joined Brett 16 years ago and applies his broad industry knowledge — along with an MBA from Derby University — to help optimise planning and inventory management.

Dean’s role involves reviewing sales trends, forecast accuracy, stock levels, and production output to ensure efficient inventory control. He also supports Brett’s planning team in managing detailed production schedules across all lines to ensure excellent product availability.

Outside of work, Dean is a founding member of Carsington Sailing Club (1990) and can often be found sailing his Hartley 12 in the Derbyshire countryside — a favourite way to unwind after a busy week.
