Engineering bricks are high-strength, low water absorption bricks designed for demanding structural applications. Our concrete engineering bricks are an alternative to Class B engineering bricks, offering excellent durability and resistance to moisture, frost and salts.

Engineering bricks are traditionally used for retaining walls, foundations, manholes, below damp proof course and civil engineering projects. Increasingly, they are also being chosen for visible external features such as splash courses, where their lower water absorption helps reduce staining and improve longevity.

Whilst the minimum strength of our engineering brick is 50N/mm2, our concrete engineering bricks offer similar performance to clay but at a much lower cost

Yes. Our engineering bricks are particularly well suited to splash courses above damp proof course level, as their low water absorption helps minimise moisture ingress, efflorescence and long-term weathering.

Our engineering bricks are available in 50N/mm2 strength for more demanding structural uses.
