Industry recognition for H&S initiatives crowns year of continuous improvement for Brett Group
Following an in-depth programme of health and safety improvements across its sites in Barrow upon Soar, Pocklington, Poole and Cliffe, The Brett Group has received two prestigious industry awards in recognition of its achievements.
At the Mineral Products Association (MPA) Health and Safety Awards, Brett Group won The John Crabbe Memorial Trophy, recognising outstanding achievements in health and safety for embracing the values of Vision Zero.
The John Crabbe Memorial Trophy is awarded to companies with more than 250 employees for outstanding performance in health, safety, and well-being.
The MPA Health & Safety Awards highlight outstanding actions, initiatives, innovations, and leadership practices – from individuals and small teams to major global players in the aggregates, asphalt, cement, concrete, dimension stone, lime, mortar and industrial sand industries.
Brett Landscaping was recognised for its concerted efforts to uphold the highest standards in health and safety, using the Vision Zero scheme to create a safer environment for all across the group’s manufacturing sites.
The Safer Together Award was presented for Brett Landscaping’s proactive Vision Zero roadshow programme, regular reading and training materials, developed by working with the on-site teams, empowering everyone to actively participate in building a safer working environment.
Brett Landscaping also received commendations from the MPA for its dedicated work focused on on-site improvements including:
- Safer handling of inbound and outbound materials
- Safer maintenance and housekeeping
