Ethical Trading Update
21/07/2009

Some of the product supply chains for our Landscaping business involve companies in India and China, and in order to ensure workers are respected and cared for we joined the Ethical Trade Initiative (ETI) almost two years ago.

Regarding the supply of foreign materials, we continue to actively work with our suppliers to ensure compliance with the ETI Base Code, which includes conducting an audit of our suppliers of Natural Sandstone in India.

This demonstrates our commitment to ethical trading standards.

We are progressively adopting the ETI Base Code which is founded on International Labour Organisation conventions and which provide a moral code for the treatment of workers across the world.  Furthermore,

by identifying particular issues in our industry we have helped to form the ETI Stone Group to develop specific standards in the quarrying of stone."

The Brett Group as a whole is committed to engaging with all suppliers, not just those involved with the supply of foreign materials.
